GETTING READY FOR OPEN HOUSES AND SHOWINGS

De-Personalize
Make it easy for buyers to envision themselves moving in. Pack up those personal photographs and family heirlooms.

De-Clutter 
Get an early start on your packing. Remove the books from the bookcases, pack up your collectibles and knickknacks and clean off your counters. If you haven't used it in over a year, you probably don't need it before you move.

Rearrange Bedroom Closets and Kitchen Cabinets
Buyers will open closets and cabinet doors and if they see everything organized, he or she will know you probably take good care of the rest of the house as well.

Rent a Storage Unit
Homes show better with less furniture so remove pieces of furniture that block or hamper paths and walkways and put them in storage. Leave just enough furniture in each room to showcase the room's purpose and plenty of room to move around.

Make Minor Repairs
Get out that honey-do list and get to work making sure everything is in tip top shape. Consider painting your walls neutral colors and freshening up your bedding.

Make the House Sparkle!
It’s time for some Spring cleaning. Clean your house from top to bottom and make it sparkle more than the day you moved in. Make sure you get rid of any odors; a bleach wipe on counters can help a lot. Don’t forget to wash your windows.

Check Curb Appeal
If a buyer doesn't like the exterior of your home; you'll never get them inside. So pick up those toys and mow the lawn.
